7th March 2024

During my stay in the hospital from 28th February 2024 Till 6th March 2024 I would like to express my gratitude for the expertise and knowledge of the medical team and their efforts to ensure my well-being. (Pulminary Embolism) and to aknowledge the kindness and empathy shown by the nurses, doctors, and other staff members. The attention to detail exhibited by the staff in monitoring my condition, administering treatments, and addressing any concerns or questions I had were second to none and to say I appreciate the professionalism displayed by everyone involved in my care, from the frontline healthcare workers to the administrative staff behind the scenes.

I would love to thank all staff at the day surgery unit for the fantastic way I was treated while in their care. Treated with great respect and dignity. Tried to alleviate any worries I had about my procedure (TURP). Wee special mention to Grace who dealt with me on arrival. Checked on me regularly to make sure I was okay. Also Joanne the best anaesthetist I’ve ever met. She explained everything in great detail and explained why I would be getting an epidural. Surgery. Everyone in theatre was brilliant and Mr. Nalagatla was brilliant as per usual. Thanks to everyone again for helping me through this procedure. Hugh Murphy

I had a procedure yesterday which took place in Monklands day surgery unit. I was very anxious but the staff were amazing! All very friendly and put me at ease. The staff in the theatre were amazing too at calming my nerves. I was looked after so so well in recovery ( sorry I can't remember the girls name) I woke up feeling really cold and she went above and beyond to make me comfortable. I've got to say, every member of staff I came across yesterday were absolutely amazing!! I can't thank you all enough for looking after me so well. You're all fantastic at your jobs.

Today, a senior citizen with heart problem, I arrived for a procedure only to be told I was there by mistake. Can't really add to that. Taxi both ways for nothing

I attended this hospital on Thursday 19th January 2023 for a biopsy and laser work to my Larynx. The care I received from arriving to leaving was exceptional. The nurses who looked after me in recovery were Lynn and Florence and they made sure I was well looked after while I was there. In the Day Surgery Unit again I was well looked after. One of the nurses whose name I can't remember but came from Cambuslang in my opinion went above and beyond in her care for me. I wasn't feeling too well after the operation this time as per previous ops. She was constantly over to check on me. There was a slight problem with the medication which she got sorted out quickly. She wouldn't discharge me until she was certain I was well. enough to leave. My compliments to all the nursing staff for my excellent after care. Thank you

As a delivery driver who doesn't live in Scotland...I had the pleasure of visiting the a+e department on 29th sept 2021...as I had a blocked catheter..and needed it replacing..(I had everything needed to do so..as I carry a sparedue to the distance driving I do)...I found the lady on reception helpful...I didn't have to wait long to be called through to be seen which I was quite surprised with...the male nurse cant remember his name was a very helpful guy..and tried a catheter flush instead of removal first...he came back to check the flush...but then seemed to get called away...then a very nice young nurse came im with a bladder scanner..cant remember her name but it seemed as she had taken over from the other nurse....(I hope they read this and they will know who I mean).she was very helpful...but I still didn't end up having the catheter replaced..she seemed to know my predicament..but was stopped by whoever was in charge at the time...as per most of the conversation I heard between her and another nurse/sister....bonnet the ward ..as there was one main question asked by the nurse that sticks in my mind...she asked what catheter to put in ?...the English one (which I had with me..my spare)...or a Scottish one ?....now I dont what difference it would make all I wanted was removal and refit.....with mine been blocked...so I initially went to a+e 12.10pm...with a blocked catheter...and left a+e approx 2.30pm...still with a blocked catheter....no different to how I went in...which meant I was having to urinate myself whilst driving if I couldn't get to or find somewhere to pull over..from the hospital..onto Inverness.. then back down to Glasgow through to west Midlands (home)..having the need to go every 35 mins or so..with urine been forced up my uretha past the catheter isn't funny....and I feel the nurse herself felt bad as she did discuss a couple of times with who she had to liase with...but sisters/nurse in charge who are ignorant of these things shouldn't even be in the position...so after nearly 24hours of major discomfort from a blocked catheter which could have been removed and replaced within half hour...(like it was today..friday 1st oct)..back in another hospital in England...you should be totally ashamed of your decision making....(and the catheter was blocked as stated) perhaps next time im in airdrie il drop it in to you so you realise your mistake and sack who ever was in charge of the nurse I had on the day in question..... Best regards.. The delivery driver from England Visit day 30th September (12.10pm)
