My GP sent me to A&E with a letter and the careI Ireceived was fantastic, it's a pleasant surprise these days to see the NHS working as itshould be. Doctors and nurses were very friendly and approachable, very thoroughand kept me informed about diagnostict testsand results Excellent care , The Mater should be soproud of its wonderful staff.
I took my mother to the Mater on 14/06/23 for a Trabulectomy for Glaucoma in the day procedure unit. We were both looked after very well. Our nurse Ruth was lovely and the care from the ophthalmologist and the aftercare were excellent.
This was the second operation my mother has had in this hospital the previous one taking place in 1939 before the outbreak of the war. Both successful operations and it was lovely to see the old and new parts on the hospital. Very clean well kept hospital.
I attended A &E, last week to have tests and a scan, although l had to wait a while l was kept fully informed about what was going on in my procedure. Dr,nurse and even receptionist went out of their way to try and make my stay less stressful. I really appreciate all they have done for me. Many thanks
Attended Mater 30th November 2020. As everyone knows this is in the height of second wave covid. I felt totally confident in the staff and the cleanliness of the hospital. I have to say I have never met a nicer bunch of people in a hospital setting. My daughter had broken her foot and the care she got was first class. Every night we should be thanking God for these angels who until we need them can be a bit forgotten. Keep up the fantastic job you all do as a team.
Good care and attention also.
