I have had experience of same day surgery in MRI and while at times the volume of patients and the busy departments makes for an incredibly busy stay, I felt that the staff were caring, informative and made sure I felt comfortable and addressed any questions I had.

It is a great hospital and run by very professional doctors.
I have been a patient of Dr Nicholas Stylianides and Dr Willert both are great consultants and very caring Doctors.

The care I received in HDU was of the highest standard. On the general ward this care continued.

Stayed at manchester royal a couple of times and allways found the staff very kind and helpfull the staff always try treat you with the upmost respect. Talking to the doctors or nurses is easy as they get down to your level instead of stand over you and they try to explain thing as simple as possible even drawing what they are trying to explain.
I personal have shared may jokes and laughs with doctors and nurses.

August 18th 2017 saw me in Surgery for open heart; as I was almost 86 years old they were reluctant to carry out surgery for bypasses - eventually, after seeing that I did yoga at the hospital and attended my local gym three times a week {once for swimming} they relented and went ahead: Today as I write this review {12 months later}, to prove that their decision was the finest thing they could ever do for me - and to add my heartfelt gratitude for a whole twelve months of living my life to the full once again; My advice to anyone hesitating to go ahead with surgery today, put your trust in the dedicated surgical, ICU, HDU and not forgetting the nursing staff who are there to speed your recovery back to a full meaning of life once again, just let them get on with what they do best: Thank you MRI cardio wards for all your devoted care and understanding.

My initial experience on Ward 12 was not great as they were short staffed and there were a number of issues during my first two weeks at the MRI prior to surgery. The surgical team were amazing and subsequent care on HDU and Ward 8 was great.
