The A&E arrival point is an absolute disgrace might be working better for the staff but not the patients... Lack of seating, confusion as to what window to stand at, will chairs, pushchairs in the way of the entrance and Exit. What imbecile thought that was a good idea? My 16 month old is being seen as an out patient. We sat in the pediatric department and explained out child’s condition they said a doctor would be around shortly. After waiting an hour and a half listening to them discussing holidays my husband confronted them which didn’t go down well. We said we would leave if she wasn’t seen too sooner rather than later. The nurse turned back around on her chair and was happy for us to leave the department... I would like to add she was shopping on line. Looking back I wish I had of photographed this for evidence. This is not the first time we have come up against an arrogant attitude in this department. My child was coved head to toe in a rash with a high fever believe it or not we were sent home with a throat spray and told to come back if her condition changed. Guess what it did she had a fever of 41 and a heart rate of 180. Enough said this Department is a descrase and should be looked into.
