I was sent to Lister from QE2 urgent care with a suspected heart attack.
I am 45 years old!!
My Dad died of heart failure aged 55.
I wasn’t seen for over 4 hours where I ended up leaving without seeing anyone as no one could tell me when I would be seen and it was so busy that it was making me feel worse!
People were throwing up and there were people who had additional needs who were very loud!
The lack of basic care was shocking!
I was left to sort out someone collecting me from Hatfield with a suspected heart attack.
I had driven myself there.
The GP just told me to call someone to collect me and just left me after telling me I may be having a heart attack!
To be honest I would be dead if I had actually been having a heart attack but no one even cared! The NHS is an absolute shambles and people will sadly lose their lives if this carries on!!

The cancer unit at the lister is as nice as it can be in the circumstances, always nice staff and a welcome cut of. Tea /coffee

I recently underwent knee replacement surgery as a private patient. The private patients team were excellent and easy to deal with. Communication was always quick and concise. My post surgery care was really impressive as it’s a long while since I spent time in hospital and I was very impressed as to how things have moved on for the better. My surgeon, Mr Thankrar, was first class and the whole team was very professional and I always felt my care was geared to ensure my peace of mind.

March 2019 I was diagnosed with a TIA and was treated at Lister, I was treated so well by all the doctors and nurses.
I was sent for MIR scans, Brain scans, x rays, and even to London for a heart scan.
Thank you to all the staff at Lister Hospital and our wonderful NHS workers.

What a wonderful treatment Centre, brand-new and very clean and spotless. Very comfortable and great nurse services. They really took care of me and went above and beyond duties to make sure that I was happy comfortable supported and felt less nervous. Their administration and paperwork was 2nd to none and much better than I previously had within another hospital in Hitchin. The doctor and his team were on time and very professional at all times. I felt cared for not rushed to leave and thoroughly looked after after surgery. This is my third time at the treatment centre and again 10 out of 10 for the service care and attention that I received well done team Lister.

All in all a good hospital. Does it job and does it well. Not the most efficient place but staff are kind and trustworthy and everything is clean.
