Patient treatment by nurse totally excellent.
Friendly helpful staff.
.
Things were done to me, but no explanation as to why, and no results given for nearly 6 hours after. We were in a corridor, and people rarely came by to see if we were alright. We were offered not refreshments in more than 6 hours. The drip would have run through if I hadn’t turned it off.
Barely saw
A doctor on heather ward and had to wait a further 7 hours after him saying I was to be discharged to actually be discharged. When I was in mru the lead nurse refused to give me my nutrition feed through my peg at night even though she had asked him to bring it in!
Even nurses on heather ward were shocked at this. I have MND and it is vital medication
The staff who attended to me from when I arrived to when I was discharged were attentive, respectful, and friendly from the phlebotomy department, and the nursing staff on major's ward, they all deserve a well done.
Every member of staff were brilliant. Gave me all the time I needed and did not rush me. Explained things properly to me. Gave me a chance to ask questions. They showed a genuine interest in what I had to say. The experience of visiting the clinic was a positive one and turned out better than I thought it would.
It was also great to meet members of the Covid team, which I think was quite important as I’ve been talking to them closely over a period of time.
While being admitted to king George hospital, it took 50 hours in order for me to be transferred to queens. . During that time. I was in a lot of pain.
