I called 111 and then was asked to go a&e king George Hospital, they had my details, I was taken in straight away, and the care from front reception, to nurse & doctors was overwhelming, last time before I went was really bad experience I had, day doctors and nurses and receptionist are 100% better then night.
Night doctors need to be checked how long they are making patients wait
Because it was so bad, I was sat in a chair on a drip for 14 hours was put on a drip, there were only 2 nurses there, it was extremely uncomfortable, after 16 hours I was transferred to Queens for urgent medical care. Just before that transfer was related to me, I was actually going to discharge myself. That hospital was a disgrace
Everything
Efficient, professional yet kindness and empathy, just what any patient wants in health care, from the surgical team to the nurses in the ward, specials thanks to Nadine
As always “food”, honestly the food is horrendous and inedible, lacks nutrients and all the goodness one hopes to get from food when recovering.
Brilliant service provided by Reena
Nothing
usually find a lot of hassle and tussle at the hospital, but this time it seems to be much much better organised with all the staff and doctors . everything was carried out professionally.
I did find when they were calling patients names. They were not being pronounced properly and people had to ask to repeat.
Good
Good
waited in queue from 20 pm to 6 am but never received a response, returned home to sleep and eat and again went to the hospital, waited in queue from 11 am to 3 pm but never received a response. that's horrible
that's horrible! you need to change the whole system
This was the worst experience I have had. The staff in Majors (day shift) we’re all about having a laugh and a joke around with one another. There was no urgency in anything they were doing. They were not rude - however there was zero professionalism. I was referred by my GP to get treatment urgently however I was made to get my husband to bring my meds 10 hours after being there because they ‘couldn’t treat me’ I honestly don’t know why we pay our taxes for this sort of service. They have an open area where the doctors come to discuss your personal information openly for others to hear- no dignity no confidentiality. I am sure there are some nurses/doctors somewhere that are passionate about their profession however what I saw in King George did not display this. Absolutely shocking service. I was in this hospitals A&E 12 years ago - it was the best service I could have ever asked for! How the standards have slipped!!!
More compassion and professionalism. Treat patients with dignity. We are people in need. You chose this profession don’t abuse the position you are in.
Was with my mum who has dementia and at all times she was treated with care and respect. Can’t thank the staff enough for the care they give snd continue to give after she was admitted.
Nothing at all
I had excellent care with the doctors and nurses. I am very grateful..
