From the moment I got to A&E I was treated with absolute care and understanding. All staff at your hospital from the Porters right up to the consultants were absolutely amazing.
I would like to thank each and everyone one of you for the wonderful care you all gave me.
Very grateful, you all do a wonderful job.
Kind regards
Rhonda
Nothing at all.
The staff at King George's Ilford were ok considering the absolute chaos they had to work with.
Only saw 2 nurses around A & E dept, and the place was packed with patients who were abusive, uncontrollable and some violent.
I was taken in by ambulance having chest pains, after 4 hours sitting in A & E i was in agony but couldn't find anyone to help me.
Not the staffs fault, too many people with minor ailments shouting and screaming for attention!
One patient spat at me, one hit me with his crutch which left me bruised. I was terrified and felt in danger from the patients, but no one there to keep order.
I had to sit outside in the rain til my friend could come get me and take me to another place. Lucky to be alive, turns out i had a heart attack!!
This A & E is broken 100%
So shocked by the lack of staff, even more shocked by the abuse the few staff have to endure! These nurses must live in fear during every working hour!
Noticed over half the patients had serioys mental health issues.
Think a seperate A & E for mental health patients would make a phenomenal difference.
When you get to see the staff, they are polite and take the time to listen, however, the very long wait to be seen is not good and parents letting their children use the waiting area as a playground is not good either.
The hydration trolley (not that I used it) is a great idea; unfortunately it is just the waiting time to be seen that let's the department down though I understand this is probably the same all over the country.
Overall the experience was poor but happy that in the end I was discharged in good condition.
The experience was very poor due to coming into emergency with severe pain and have to wait for almost 4 hours to get a paracetamol for the pain suffered.
Is unbelievable to be told to wait at the reception for so many hours even though you said you are in severe pain and you can barely stand.
My biggest concern is the reception team very rude made stand to give a lot of details even if they’ve seen I was in severe pain and have to told them that I have to seat instead to stand for them to complete updated information.
The doctor and nurses where good taking good care of me however I can’t understand the waiting time even though you explain are in severe pain.
Very caring team. Could not ask for better. Thank you.
