In the situation ED night shift staff were busy but managed initial treatment to relieve elderly patient's pain and discomfort in an hour of being admitted. After they kept checking if patient was ok and comfortable while keeping under observation and waiting for blood results over next 3 hours. Then doctor confirmed bloods fine, prescribed IV antibiotics as precaution took another hour but then discharged at 4am. Considering other ED experience this was shorter.

Considering patient age and non-complex nature of problem and treatment maybe could have expedited treatment and discharged sooner avoiding long wait in corridor.
