The staff at King George's Ilford were ok considering the absolute chaos they had to work with. Only saw 2 nurses around A & E dept, and the place was packed with patients who were abusive, uncontrollable and some violent. I was taken in by ambulance having chest pains, after 4 hours sitting in A & E i was in agony but couldn't find anyone to help me. Not the staffs fault, too many people with minor ailments shouting and screaming for attention! One patient spat at me, one hit me with his crutch which left me bruised. I was terrified and felt in danger from the patients, but no one there to keep order. I had to sit outside in the rain til my friend could come get me and take me to another place. Lucky to be alive, turns out i had a heart attack!!

Suggested improvements
This A & E is broken 100% So shocked by the lack of staff, even more shocked by the abuse the few staff have to endure! These nurses must live in fear during every working hour! Noticed over half the patients had serioys mental health issues. Think a seperate A & E for mental health patients would make a phenomenal difference.
