Meals were good with plenty of choice. Catering staff very helpful. The student nurse who washed my hair on day 8 when I couldn't do it myself deserved 5 stars. Not being able to wash my hair was the thing I was dreading most. Overall a nice experience over the stay.

The Royal Infirmatory Hull. What more can I say? Frienndly staff, spotless, and no queueing or faffing around as they are Extremely Well Organized. I struggle to say it, but; Must be said:- "unofficially the best hospital in the bleeding world"! However. Although they have a very diverse workforce, (e.g.easyern european/asian etc); I beleive they lack ( or there Is a lack, ) of people of colour; for instance, Zimbabwean, South African gentlemen (and ladies!). If there were more of these people emppoyed at the hospital, t'henit wld b a Greayer plaice¡ #mom'sknowbest

I was admitted to Accident & Emergency on 5 January 2021 by ambulance with a dislocated knee. The care was excellent from the ambulance nurses to the staff in A&E. I was in excruciating pain and was looked after with great care and sympathy. I have heard so many negatives about HRI but my experience was excellent. It was clean and Covid safe. I understand the staff are stretched due to Covid and did find around 8pm , after my knee was put back in, I was desperate for water and it took a long time to appear, also the emergency button was out of reach so I relied on passing staff that were already busy. Aside from that , the care was spot on. Thank you to all the wonderful staff who took care of me.
