On the 9th of December 2017 my grandmother of 93 years old was admitted due to a fall, during this time we were just in the middle of the first snow of the winter which in turn had caused the A&E department to be incredibly busy, I was expecting to be delayed but as soon as my nan was admitted she was seen by the doctor, made comfortable and x rayed. The care my grandmother received on the that first night was second to none and the next day she successfully came through a hip operation.
Unfortunately on the 15th while I was visiting her heart finally gave in and she passed away while I sat with her, the nurses were amazing and stayed with me as I said my goodbyes, they spent time explaining everything and nothing was too much trouble. I don't remember the Nurses names but my Nan did tell me before she died that every doctor and nurse that treated her were so kind and went that extra mile to talk to her and spend some time with her,
