I recently had a hip replacement and i don't think i could have had it performed at a better hospital. From the day i was told about my surgery (and my pre assessment) i was treated SO well. On the day of the surgery I was made to feel extremely calm and was looked after with care afterwards. I have to say a big THANK YOU to all nurses and staff on Sarah ward who looked after me so well with care and patience. I have nothing but great things to say about my short stay at Guys!
Thank You!!

I was in Queens Ward in October and then February following knee operations. It as an exellent experience. The nurses and physiotherapists were competent, pleasant to deal with and efficient. Alas, I can't go back as I have run out of knees!
I had a hip replacement shortly before Christmas 2012 and spent three nights at Guy's Hospital. I have nothing but praise for the care I received. The surgeon, Mr. Shah, and his team looked after me beautifully, and the care and kindness I received during the operation and my care on the ward could not have been better. Thank you all.
I cannot speak highly enough of the nursing/physio team in Queen ward at Guy's who looked after me following my hip replacement operation on 11 December 2012. They were all simply superb, caring and professional - and lovely!
I do not think the treatment or its organisation could have been better.
In the preliminary x-rays and tests I was treated with friendiness and courtesy: and when I was I arrived at the next location was always expected there. Likewise when I ended up with the consultant, Mr Shah, all the results were already on his computer.
The booking of the date of the operation was fast and efficient with minimum waiting time. Indeed, for my second knee operation, a phone call had arrived at my home to book the time before I had even arrived back from the hospital!
The organisation of Queen's Ward and attitutde of the nurses was excellent. I only wish some of my fellow patients had been as polite to the staff as they were to them.
Likewise I found the physiotherapy support afterwards in the gloomy basement of the Rehabilitation Centre friendly but firm and effective. .
