I was treated at Guys Hospital in February 2021 for Tongue Cancer. I was in hospital for 2 weeks following major surgery. I would say the treatment I received from my consultant surgeon down to the cleaning and catering staff on Ester Ward was exceptional. Everyone I met was caring, encouraging and motivating and this great team effort assured my good and speedy recovery. As an example the cleaning lady always found time to chat and the tea and food lady particularly encouraged me to try things, noticing without prompting when my “nil by mouth” bed sign had been amended. The nursing care all round was first rate.
