Lovely staff on the phone , incredibly patient, compassionate and understanding, I got an appointment with in 20 mins and seen by a female doctor who’s care was out standing , , she listened to what I had to say and my situation, I gave her a brief run down of my history with the problem I was having and absolutely didn’t make me feel like nuisance and treat me with the correct antibiotics for the right amount of time at the right dosage , i had been trying to get in to doctors for two weeks with no success and was spoken to like something wiped off the bottom of a shoe by the receptionist and doctors at the surgery . Wish I could remember her name as I would have left a personal review she absolutely deserved it deserves to be credited for the care she is providing to patients, it’s important the good compassionate doctors know the service they are providing doesn’t go un noticed

Excellent to know and reassuring that you can ring at 3 pm on a bank holiday and be given an appointment at 17.45 pm on the same day - top care.

I have had varying experiences of clinical skills and compassion from CHOC. Staff in the past some good, excellent even and some atrocious and gave medication which conflicted to those I already take - not a safe consultation. However, I have had two consultations with this excellent clinician and compassionate woman, with listening skills which exceed all expectations. Mc Lacy is thorough, systemic and fills one with confidence in her role and that of the NHS. A true ambassador for the service. I felt totally confident in her clinical expertise and signposting to manage my care in the best way.

I was looked after in an incredibly kind, reassuring and professional way. At no point was I made to feel a nuisance, and I am really grateful for the care and help I received on my own far from home. Everyone I spoke to on the phone was keen to help and accommodate me, and when I could not get a lift in a doctor came out to me who was supportive and kind. I was very scared and worried, and the service I received was outstanding.

I have make a phone call on Sunday. Lady on the phone asked thousands questions then she said "some on will call back". We waited over a hour then was another call then she have suggest we have to wash hands after a toilet and she says , "I don't think he need a doctor today", this is what we paying for every week. I get main visit anywhere and doctor was ok 100% this time, Barrow.... This is not a first time. On emergency waiting seat you can wait 240min and then you get inside to room, waiting 30min and you looked outside to corridor the are seating happy but not giving you right servis. Grab you self and think, do your work and think about your wage, because in one day you can lost it.

- Very efficient allocation of an out of hours consultation. - To be improved: The time spent on hold when calling 111. However, I do realise this may not be within the power of CHOC to change. Overall, very pleased with the service.
