Review of Fleetwood Urgent Treatment Centre
20th February 2024

I arrived at the centre having just been involved in a minor accident, I was greeted by Lorraine who was very understanding and helpful about my injuries Lorraine informed me about the waiting time at which point, I explained my situation and she immediately offered me another solution, she phoned BVH and got me an appointment at the urgent treatment centre which proved to be very, very helpful due to my unknown injuries. Many thanks Lorraine for you kind and compassionate care you really did make a huge difference to my day

Went this morning about 9.30 as my own gp couldnt see me. It wad so busy even at this time but the receptionist,( I didn't catch her name - blond bob hairstyle) was charming and funny - we had a giggle about something. The nurse I saw was so professional and caring. Everyone was so busy but the care I received was first class.

Given a 10 am appointment by 111. Waiting 3 hours. Why bother giving appointments? Patients booked in after us got seen first. No information given about how long we would wait just told to wait. No updates even when asked.

Suggested improvements
Keep updates for people who have booked in for a specific time how long they might actually be waiting. Communication with the waiting area

Thought I would go early 8.30 ish Friday 26th jan Wow - so so busy. The receptionist was on her own and had a cue the whole time but still stayed happy and jokey with everyone. Seen by Ruth and have to say very happy with today's visit

The wait was too long and once I got to see a nurse I was advised to take a paracetamol tablet. To be honest I wish I hadn't bothered attending given the advice I was given. To me it seems like the NHS is falling apart. No one seems interested and there is a couldn't care less attitude to the customer experience.

Visited with my 5 year old daughter on 2 occasions due to an ear infection. Seen very quickly both times and both members of staff were lovely with her. Such a great organized service. Thank you very much

Suggested improvements
Nothing could have been done better. I wasn't given oral antibiotics first visit due to my daughter not being symptomatic with her ear infection. But after leaving, she had a temp and she was in agony, next day she had discharge from her ear so we went back for antibiotics. But I agree with not giving out antibiotics unless needed. We were given ear drops 1st visit.
