I feel that each time I attend the hospital I am looked after well staff are very professional and attend to all your needs etc.

My consultant Miss Gumma was professional, highly knowledgeable and took my wishes into account every step of the way. I'm very happy with the treatment I've received and Ms Gumma's care. I highly recommend the Fitzwilliam Hospital.

I write in praise of Miss Gumma who treated me with great competence for a Gynocologicaol matter which without her persistence and patience would have in the end resulted in a Hysterectomy. I also have another problem for which I have had three Operations, but because of Miss Gumma's excellent knowledge a fourth Operation is not necessary. Instead, she has fitted me with an internal ring which does the job instead. She is also a most charming person with the ability to put the Patient at ease immediately and coax out information which they might otherwise not give.

The overall standard of the Fitzwilliam hospital is very high. Rooms are very clean and extremely comfortable, and everything to do with my operation was handled most professionally and efficiently. I was an NHS patient, and I cannot imagine that I would have had better treatment anywhere else in the country.
Perhaps the biggest strength is the staff. They were overwhelmingly friendly, and seemed to understand patients' concerns very well, something which is just so important.

Receptionist were friendly and welcoming.
nurses were excellent friendly welcoming and polite treated you as individual with respect . if i could receive all my treatment at this hospital i would ,I have been in city hospital as a patient but did not get the same treatment there ,you are talked to as a person and have everything expalined at the fitzwilliam Everybody looks smart tidy and are very polite .The hospital always looks clean cannot fault it. I got excellent treatment on every visit and have seen several different Doctor and they all treated you excellent and everyone explained what was going to happen

This was one of the best hospitals I have attended and I have been to a lot so have plenty to compare with and the experience to give an opinion.
You are not kept waiting more than a few minutes.
The staff are so polite, very helpful and keep you informed.
The whole experience gave me confidence in the staff looking after me while having surgery.
If I need further treatment that's available at the Fitzwilliam it will definitely be my first. choice.
