Notwithstanding I was there for a major operation, the whole experience was made so much better by staying at this hospital. All were extremely attentive and having my own room gave the privacy and dignity needed in these situations. Highly recommend this hospital and also Mr Heaton-Adegbile the surgeon who treated me. Excellent.

Throughout my three day stay for a knee replacement I cannot heap enough praise on this hospital. The level of care, service and kindness could not have been better. Thank you to every person involved in my treatment.

From walking in the door and going to reception right through all members of staff the care I was given ( and still getting as I am typing this in the Fitzwilliam the day after a total hip replacement ) is superb . You are treated as an individual and with respect . I have had treatment in the past under private health care here ,this time it is NHS .Are there any diffences in the standard of care between the two ?absolutely not . Thank you so much .

I recently had a knee replacement operation at the Fitzwilliam Hospital, Peterborough. The operation was carried out by Mr Philip Heaton-Adegbile, an outstanding professional, to whom I am extremely grateful.
As well as Mr Heaton-Adegbile, I must praise all the support staff who looked after me so well during my 3 day stay at the hospital. Everyone I met was not only very caring but also very efficient and organised. The hospital is very well run, all the staff were well-trained and it was a very pleasant environment.
And I am an NHS patient too!

I've just recently visited the Fitzwilliam hospital Peterborough on the 20 October, for a total hip replacement, as NHS patient. I was met with a very warm welcome at the reception, I was lead to my room in preparation for my operation. This was very clean and comfortable. In fact it felt more like a hotel room than a hospital, and as for the staff that work there credit due to you all. From the cleaner's, the doctor's the nurse's the caters. Thank you to you all, nothing was to much trouble, I couldn't of been treat with any more dignity and respect. I really can't thank you all enough.

I had great care but did struggle with one nurses attitude. I felt she was unprofessional and not focussed on her work. This in turn left me feeling a bit anxious and cross especially when the medication was not given out on time.
Apart from that I can say I had wonderful care. The staff were diligent and caring. Nothing was too much trouble. The room was lovely and the food delicious.
