The only issue experienced was that I and the recover nursing staff was not informed prior to my first vocal cord biopsy that I should not talk immediately after the procedure.

Information about the above was provide after and not before the procedure. The other issue I have is that I did not have the right to my pre-op blood test results. I was told that I need to submit an FOI request for that. This is completely out of order. Why does LNWU not subscribe to the Patient Care online service as used by the Imperial College trust, which enables the patient to have instantaneous access not only to all their tests but other medical details?

I had day care surgery performed on me on 02/12/2021 my heartiest thanks go to the operations theater staff and the nursing staff who looked after me very well. My special thanks go to Anne Jasinski who looked after me so well after the operation.

The dermatology team were without exception professional and caring.

Not too sure about the hygiene of the surgical environment and shouldn't scrubs be mandatory in an open wound area? It didn't seem to have the discipline of a theatre.

Very helpful sessions with the physiotherapist, Natalie, who provided clear instructions about the exercises I needed to do, and reassurance about the prospects of full recovery. She also went out of her way to help me by accommodating an out of hours early appointment when needed. I was concerned it would be one appointment, and I'd be sent packing, but I was supported until my condition improved to the extent that further input from physio was no longer needed.

Appointment times that can accommodate those still working would be helpful.
