Since having multiple psychology sessions at Davertry, clinical stated listening to me and my lifetime desire of preference of sexuality. My psychology sessions were to me, a waste of time as we did not 'get' or see 'eye to eye' with each other.

Response from Danetre Hospital

Thank you for your comments. We’re sorry that you didn’t find the sessions with our psychologist helpful. These sessions can be difficult as they may involve thinking about events and ideas that can be painful and distressing for the patient. Additionally psychological assessments and interventions often have a focus on challenging a persons thoughts, personal values and behaviours as a way of determining a person’s resilience along the path of transition and what support they will need along the way.
