As a family we have nothing but the highest praise for the care my husband received from the district nurses who came to the house and the nursing staff in Danetre hospice; we feel very lucky to have secured a bed there for his last five days.
The main gap in provision was the lack of any support overnight, as every night was disturbed several times, leading to exhaustion for those caring for him, was then had to cope with daytime care as well.
