Very pleased with the care my midwife gives me. I have very little waiting time before my appointment and always feel there is enough time during the appointment to discuss any concerns/worries. Never feel rushed. I am told I am lucky that I Have seen the same midwife throughout my pregnancy.

There has been lots of support to help me get started with breastfeeding so my baby could put on weight. It was great that many of the appointments happened at our home, great when you've had sleepless nights! Saw a variety of staff; support workers, health visitors and midwives- all great. Only downside is when they come to the house there is never an appointment time. It would be great if there was a 2 hour window or something so you can plan when you are going to nap!

Over the course of the last 3 weeks (post natally) I have come into contact with a number of midwives, doctors and maternity support workers. Everyone has been very professional, knowledgeable, friendly and also compassionate at the same time. At no point has any appointment or visit felt rushed. I really can't fault the care myself or my baby daughter has received at all. (There are too many names to remember).

What a difference in terms of experience I have had with two different midwifes, my current one being amazing! Much more personable and took a general interest in my circumstances. The first midwife I had showed little interest and did the bear minimum in terms of conversation, which is disappointing when you feel this is an exciting time. My above recommendations are based on my current midwife.

I think the service is very efficient and you don't have to wait long, especially with the finger prick test. There is a few minutes to wait afterwards but not too long. It would be nice to think there was someone to talk to if you have a problem or query.
