Attended for a surgical procedure, staff were very abrupt. Theatre smelt of take away food, which was very disconcerting considering I had been told to not eat before my surgery. I was not impressed with the lack of obvious respect for me as a patient with regard to this matter. I will be requesting a different hospital if I ever need anymore surgery.

Carol Dunscombe is the best midwife I have ever had. She has exceptional knowledge and experience and I have trusted her throughout. Carol manages to be realistic and reassuring at the same time which is really rare and her wealth of experience means she knows what she's talking about. For example when a midwife at the hospital told me my baby was in the wrong position, Carol was able to reassure me that this was not the case so i could stop worrying. CArol always took the time to speak to me whenever I had any concerns and never made me feel stupid or a time waster. She is a brilliant asset to the community service. To improve the care I would like to see better communication between Northampton hospital and Milton Keynes. I elected to go to the birthing centre at Northampton and received conflicting advice from Northampton / MK about how to transfer.
