Refused yo extract tooth. Rude uncaring staff
The service I have received from Claire and Reece in the Munro unit following my total hip replacement has been outstanding. What they have done for me is over and above my expectations and has made my rehabilitation extremely successful. I believe I wouldn’t have had this fantastic service from any private service. They have helped me achieve my goals and looked at me as an individual creating unique exercises to help me get back on my horses. My surgeon was also very happy with my progress and the support I was receiving. Having the gym work with Reece has made me feel positive and just the positivity and push I needed to get fit and ready to continue to compete my horses at international level. Knowing this level of care is available post replacement has reassured me to continue with the next hip with no concerns. Massive thanks to Claire and Reece
I just wanted to say a huge ‘thank you’ to Nathan and the 2 lovely student Physiotherapists whom I saw, today. They were all brilliant and could not have been nicer, more approachable, more knowledgeable, more kind, more patient, or more informative!
I understand so much more about what is going on with my injury and could not have received better care than I did, today.
The Ladies in Reception were also lovely and friendly so I just wanted to express that the whole experience, which could have been daunting; was amazing and went above and beyond what I was anticipating!
Very helpful staff went completely out of their way to help me obtain a walking stick urgently. They made it happen very quickly and went out of their way to keep me updated. The staff went above and beyond their duties to help me. Susan Brown in particular was extremely helpful and kind. She helped to liaise with a different Physiotherapy department to obtain authorisation for me. The department at chichester is very busy and Susan somehow managed to help me whilst performing her normal duties.
The physiotherapist (Susanne) was very professional and knowledgeable, taking care to explain everything in an understandable way, and I have come away feeling I should be better able to manage my condition myself. However the system lets things down as I submitted the self referral for physiotherapy four months ago when I could really have done with some help, as it is my condition had more or less resolved by my own efforts in these four months.
St Richard's must be one of the worst signposted hospitals I've ever experienced, I couldn't find any signs to the Munro Unit until I was almost there.
It was pleasant and rewarding and I felt included!
I was first assessed by Tim Cook, Extended Scope Physio of MATT. I am not including that in my feedback above as that interview was very odd. He maintained emphatically that my pain was psychological ("There's a lot of fear in this room") and over ran the appointment to the extent that the empty waiting room I left was overflowing when I came out. He referred me only for knee strengthening physio.
I had an excellent service thereafter.
Whilst waiting for a physio appointment I called in to say how incapacitated I was and was given an appointment that same week. Thank goodness!
My physio, Jess Holmes, made a swift fresh assessment and easily diagnosed the problem, then worked to help me strengthen my left side.
Jess was really excellent at explaining things to me and showing me the exercises. She was always prompt and friendly. Hence 5 stars. She also emailed me when I left a message checking my exercise (one or two?), the first week. It was great to be able to check something else by email later on. I once worked with an NHS physio who would print out the exercises, pictures and text plus number. That would be ideal and probably time saving too. No more forgetting what a physio said regarding the precise directions. That after all is what it's all about - if we don't do the exercises properly at home it's not going to work,
I also had 6 sessions in the gym. I was delighted to see my progress there and enjoyed the good facilities. More place to hang winter clothes please! It was good to have different staff at different sessions as each had a fresh contribution to make regarding how to undertake the exercises...
I had a set back during one session. A physio in the gym told me out of the blue , "You have scoliosis!" This was a shock to me so she did book me to see Jess about it. It was too bald and minimal and affected my morale for a day or two. Everyone was very friendly otherwise.
I also appreciated the calm, relaxed atmosphere in the whole physio area and the pleasantness of the reception staff, who suggested this questionnaire when I thanked them.
I couldnt applaud Emily enough when it came to my son's care. Emily was kind, delicate and to the point she was a pleasure to work alongside and we couldn't be any more proud of what she has helped us to achieve with my son.
Sympathetic and professional staff who certified my husband as dead in the early hours of Sunday, 23 July 2017.
I am not happy with the level of care that I am receiving from the diabetic care clinic at Moulsecoomb. The consultant seems to concentrate on giving you more and more tablets, my blood pressure is never checked, nor my feet are checked during the visit. No advice is given to how to improve my diabetic condition ... etc
All in all, I feel that the system is bureaucratic and with a very slow response to the patients needs, as the clinic hands the appointments and the prescription of drugs themselves that usually take ages to administer from the time of patient's visit, as before the patient made the next appointment through the clinic themselves, or the drugs were prescribed by the consultant and the patient could take the prescription to a pharmacy and obtain the drug and start using it, as now has to wait for ages to be administered.
For my last appointment, I had to chase the Here office for my appointment that was long overdue.
I used to visit the RSH hospital for my diabetic clinic and everything seemed to be working fairly efficiently, as with the new system is very bureaucratic and slow, and seems to treat the patients in a factory based conveyor belt system, in and out as quickly as possible, with no discussion with the patient on treatment of their condition!
