I went in with a swollen ankle which was so painful that I was almost passed out. The male nurse told me it wasn't broken so there is no point x raying it. I have broken my ankle before and it felt the same. I attended at 7:30am and when i pushed him to x ray it he still declined, when I asked again he then said the x ray department doesn't open until 9am so I may as well drive myself down to Bath A&E! I couldnt walk on the ankle and I asked for a wheel chair to get me to my car as I felt so faint but they didnt have one! So I had to ask (not offered) for crutches which were then supplied.
After some time, having to stop and hold on to the wall and stop myself from fainting twice! I managed to get myself to my car and drive in agony to Bath A&E who were amazing, and they did confirm that I had fractured my ankle and expressed their amazement to why Chippenham had insisted that I go to Bath and that the nurse said that it was not broken!
Seen very promptly

relaxed and comfortable. thank you
3 hour wait isn't god!! Without any communication that he stated 2 hrs would be longer. No TV to entertain.
Nice people, very helpful.
Simple exercises that were built upon in a logical way. Progress was easy to see based on the exercises. So was easy and kept them going.
