My daughter was sent by GP on1st March to Ambulatory Care with a suspected clot on the lungs. On that day blood tests, ECG and X-rays were done. Was told that all seemed ok but to come back on the Monday for a CT if she "wanted". On the Monday CT was done and waited for results. Doctor told her she had a clean bill of health and could go back to work straight away. Still feeling very unwell another appointment was made with GP. GP had results back and she said my daughter was very anemic and had a B12 deficiency. Although having a low thyroid problem her levels were not checked. She may not have had a clot on the lungs ( Thank goodness) but surely hospital doctor should have checked blood results and advised seeing GP instead of sending her back to work!
