A very helpful and competent operator of the scanner who then explained initial findings.

The staff at the Lister were very attentive, from the intensive care team through to the ward staff, through each handover every day. I was made as comfortable as possible and had total confidence in my care following major surgery. No ask I made was any trouble, my guests were always welcomed, the catering was excellent.

Right from the start, things seemed slightly off for a private expensive facility. I called to make an appointment with Mr Bigan Khoubehi, I was told that next Wednesday (5 days later) someone will call me back to make the appointment. When the call didn’t arrive, I called them again, wondering why I wasn’t called and was given some attitude, “we are very busy and can’t get to everyone” they proceeded nonetheless to make the appointment. On the morning of the appointment, as I left my house, which is a 1-hour drive from them, I called them, checking the best place to park nearby. I was told, that there is no parking around there and I might need to park as far as South Kensington station which is a 20 minute walk. I said, that’s fine, but if that’s the case, I will be delayed by 10-15 minutes, I asked if that its ok, as I don’t want to drive an hour and then walk 20 minutes and it will be too late. I was told it’s not an issue at all, I told the receptionist, please check with the consultant to make sure, there is no problem, and asked to be called back if there is. The receptionist, said, if there is a problem, I’ll get a call back. My appointment was at midday, I arrive to the area at 11.50 and started making my way to the place. At 12.09 I get a call, from the consultant’s office, asking me, where I am and telling me, the consultant is in a rush, 3 minutes later, at 12.12 I get another call, this time from his assistant Bobita, who was pretty rude. Asking me where I am, and telling me, he has surgery today and then said, I’ll be honest with you, he has already left few minutes go. Disregarding the fact that I have driven an hour and was clearly told there is no issue to come few minutes late. Let’s say, he didn’t get the message about being few minutes late, how on earth was he going to have a consultation which costs around £300-£400 in less then 10 minutes!! The arrogance from Bobita & Bigan continues with an email, offering me another appointment, which I obviously declined. I’d rather go to the NHS than being mishandled by these cowboys.
