My experience with getting the dreadful word of skin cancer I was scared but the minute I saw the surgeon Mr Hussain he put my mind at rest the day of of the surgery was very daughting to me but I got there and the nurses were absolutely amazing and put my mind at rest the surgery went well and now discharge everything is fine so thanks to you all

I have had MRI scans before in different locations, this was the first at Chapel Allerton. I asked to be put on the cancellation list to speed up the scan and was called at 7.30am Monday 23rd to ask if I wanted to go in at 8.50am, which I did. I waited 5 minutes after completing my form and the two staff were so pleasant and friendly. I was in pain and concerned I would not be able to stay still but they reassured me and made me comfortable. I was told that the results would be with my doctor in 7-10 days. They has seen my history of bowel cancer 2 years ago , although the scan was in respect of sciatica. I was shocked that my GP rang me on Tuesday 24th with the result - so quick!!!and thankfully no sign of cancer but degeneration of the spine and discs, which I will hopefully get treatment for. Full marks for the team , I hope they see this review and know how grateful I was for their care

Had a THR at this hospital, on the 26th April 2022, I was taken care by the best staff one could hope for, if a large hospital such as Chapelallerton can be run by such great staff why is every NHS establishment not been done in the same manner. This is my second THR at the hospital, the previous having been carried out in 2010 again my experience was exceptional back then, I had been offered my recent THR at a local private establishment, I choose to support my NHS and will continue to do so nothing could be improved on elsewhere. Thanks to everyone

I had Mohs procedure carried out on my nose under local anaesthesia. On the day, I was extremely apprehensive. The whole team is exceptionally considerate and my anxiety was quickly resolved by their understanding and compassionate approach. I was made comfortable whilst I waited for laboratory results which took longer than the actual procedure. This was explained to me preoperatively and I was advised to bring something to pass the time which went by surprisingly quickly. My sutures were removed by Lisa a week later, totally without discomfort. The result is remarkable and I am impressed, after only 4 weeks the scar is almost invisible. An excellent team and unit. Thank you Mr Hussain and team.

I have been to this hospital on 3 occasions and only as a patient. It appears clean. I have not had any detailed interaction with any other areas of it, apart from the Dermatology Surgical Unit ( C4 ). Please refer to the previous page for the standard of care and treatment I received from this department.

I was referred to Chapel Allerton Hospital fora MHS Procedure under Dr W Hussain. I was treated with great courtesy by the Staff and would like to pay tribute to the Registrar and Nursing Staff on Ward 4.

My experience was 99% positive The staff are all very helpful especially the ones who cared for me in recovery and the ward I was placed on after surgery ,nothing was too much trouble for them The couple of negatives are the food option available after arriving on the ward after surgery was a very poor option after being nil by mouth for over 12 hours. Also the delays on the day of my operation were not great sat around for so long and also as I could not eat or drink anything for such a long period of time But overall a positive experience
