Everything has been very good.
My mum was transferred to the Hospice, from hospital, at our family’s request, following a terminal cancer diagnosis .
They were amazing, from managing her pain to her personal care to providing support to our family.
nothing was too much trouble for the staff and volunteers.
I spent many hours at the hospice, never having been in one before, it’s certainly not a sad place and we are so glad that mum got to spend her last weeks in such a caring place.
Everything was explained clearly. Treated with dignity and respect by all staff and volunteers. Felt that my whole well being was considered, not just the pain element. Staff had/took the time to talk about my anxieties and worries and nothing was ever too much trouble. Support was given to my wife as well.
The love and dignity show the encouragement to try different things which would give you a purpose and help you stretch yourself and achieve things you would not of envisaged or possible in my case they introduced me to art in its various forms, I now love it.
The nurses are always attentive and considerate to your health problems in general general, the whole staff are amazing.
Everything! A very caring staff who are totally understanding!
