Had a colonoscopy a few days ago. I was a bit nervous as this was my first ever surgery experience. Nurses and doctor were very friendly and talked me through things, kept me calm and (thankfully) distracted me during the procedure. Aftercare and recovery was good. Although I felt a little disorientated and confused, the staff were calm and reassuring. Though I can't say I'd wish anyone to require a colonoscopy, my experience of Heartlands was a good one and if I had to have one again (& it's probable) I'd choose the team I had a few days back at Heartlands.

Great standard of care provided by the sexual health team at the Heartlands. I have been attending the clinic for over ten years and like being treated as an individual where staff care and are genuinely interested in your wellbeing. I travel a considerable distance to attend the clinic quite simply because I cannot find a better service nearer home. Can't the Heartland Hospital come to Wales?

Rubbish care, for anyone in ward 15, you'll be lucky to be seen, and if you do, hardluck doctors wont care about what you think, they will make decion for you. Even if it your child, no wonder its nicknamed heartless, oh and the body language of nurses is they simply dont care! Please take your child to the childrens hospital instead!

Hi I been through several times to heart land hospital for my appointments and then surgery, before referred to this hospital people saying lots of bad things about this hospital but the experience I have there is not a single problem I found even I am conscious for this, every thing absolutely ok I can say only this don't trust any rumour the Dr and all staff are very good very caring and helpful and respectful I have fully confidence on staff and care and I am fully satisfy with my procedure how dealt there. A+++++++++++++++++++++++++++++

I had a large cyst removed from my neck on 10th November 2014 and from the minute I arrived at day surgery unit( and was dealt with by the wonderful Michael) until my discharge from ward 5 the next day I had the best care possible. All the staff bar none were great and professional. Hospital was clean and well run. Food was really good-ate the lot!!. Staff on ward 5 were very hard working.

Heartlands Hospital is the best NHS hospital I have ever experienced in the 10 years I have been HIV positive. The staff are friendly, polite and supportive. You feel that all staff really care about your care. This is not the case at all hospitals. I hope Heartlands Hospital continues to receive funding for its excellent services and that things are not cut back. Heartlands have really saved my life in the care they have provided.

All the care we received at heartlands neonatal unit was absolutely fantastic. All the staff were brilliant and very professional and passionate in there work. There care was five star and we couldn't thank them enough for what they did for our son.
