I cannot fault the day to day care I receive from the HCA's & nurses. I understand that they are the facilitators & conduits, of this service. I hold the utmost respect for their undoubted abilities & professional skills. However, I do feel like somewhat of a 'Lab Rat' with regard to how my treatment & care is discussed & decided, ie. in my absence, by third party to a faceless panel, seemingly interpreting my daily responses & interactions. It is in my opinion, an elaborate game of Chinese Whispers. I understand the demand for direct access services for doctors far outweighs the supply, but I just simply can't help but feel that this wonderful resource of rTMS needs finessing & develop its rather rigid, one size fits all format into a nuanced, bespoke treatment. In my opinion could reap further benefits not only to the patients, but toward the ongoing commercial viability of the project. Surely, to make the treatment as good as it possibly could be, you need to liaise directly end user - the depressive, not the fellow medical professionals who understand how the concept should work. I liken it to a toddler's shape sorter - you can get a cylinder into a square hole, but it doesn't make it right because it doesn't utilise the full dimension of the space provided.
