The main drawback for most people is the fear of hospitals, needles etc. Most people can look after the day-to-day stuff but when it comes to our health and most body related anomalies, we all need help. I had no idea what an AAA was but if the NHS thinks a scan is in order then so be it. Upon arrival I sat in a very comfortable waiting room and was called in for my appointment on time. The two nurses in the room were cheerful, willing to answer any questions I had about the procedure and made me feel totally at ease. I was fortunate that the result of my scan was "normal". Had it not been, then treatment would have been available for a condition of which I had no prior knowledge. Thank you NHS and keep up the good work.
