I had a very comfortable stay overnight although very noisy during the night which didn’t matter as I had to have my blood pressure taken every hour as well as an antibiotic. I was in for a shoulder operation. The care and food were top standard and wouldn’t hesitate to recommend the hospital to patients going there.

At first I was put in the adjoining ward to the one I had been originally given...the original one was full for a day or so..but no problems. The staff..every single one of them was more than amazing. There was no delay on receiving medication if you needed extra, you were fed amazingly..no one could really do enough for us. This applies to even when we moved to the correct ward. I became friendly with another lady and when we moved, they made sure we were kept together which meant a lot. It was almost like time away on a little holiday doing nothing and being waited on! I can't fault anyone we came into contact with in either ward. They were amazing. Thank you all so much.

I first had a consultation with Mr Narvani about a Rotator Cuff issue. He listened to my concerns and offered to proceed with a new operation that was on trial. I was extremely satisfied with the care whilst in hospital and the operation has made so much difference to my everyday life. I am eternally grateful Mr Narvani offered to do this for me and now, almost a year after the op, I am back doing all my sport activities which I wasn't able to do before. Thank you Karen Muir

All the staff were brilliant! The anaesthetist put me at ease when I said I was a bit nervous and had great care, I saw my Dr before the surgery which again lifted my spirits. The after care from the moment I woke from surgery was amazing! They said I had to wait a little bit before going to the recovery/ pick up area so I asked for a coffee as I hadn’t had one since the day before and they made me one no problem and the same was downstairs they couldn’t care more, after everything it felt like a good day out I was in high spirits (not just the medication) but with how I was treated and felt before during and after the surgery.

Review of Physiotherapy - Ashford

This was my first physiotherapy experience. Becky showed compassion, did a very professional check on the muscles and tendons in my feet. I was given a detailed exercise programme to do at home. The advice and exercises were sent to my email promptly. I was very pleased to receive such great customer service and I look forward to feeling better soon.

Review of Hand Therapy - Ashford

Due to Covid there was a fairly long delay to my getting therapy for the arthritis in my hands, and initially I was a little concerned that it would be online rather than face to face. However the two online sessions I have had have I am sure been as beneficial as an in-person consultation, and Neha has been wonderful. She is friendly and very easy to talk to, a good listener, very calm and very clear with her recommendations, and has both times immediately emailed through the exercises that she has promised to send. Thank you!

Elliot Ward was clean & modern, all the staff were amazing 24/7 and super helpful right down to remembering how I take my tea, or my favourite biscuit or even remembering my food allergies. I then moved to Dickens ward which is in need of redecoration/modernisation, the ward smelt of urine, the staffing was not a patch on Elliot ward, I had HCA’s and housekeeping staff rolling their eyes at the way I take my tea or tutting at my food allergies..
