We've had a lovely rest and our daughter has come home happy and relaxed. The management at 1 Willow Close cannot be faulted. We are able to have a proper rest without worry knowing she will receive the best standards of care. The service needs expansion as it is very oversubscribed with a constant waiting list. Nevertheless it should be held up as a gold standard to which others can aspire.
We've had a much looked forward to break thanks to the team at 1 Willow Close. We feel so much better for it and it enables us to continue caring for our loved one at home.
Unquestionably, this service needs expansion. Some years ago we were surveyed to find if we would prefer various other types of respite service, no doubt a money saving exercise. Let me say categorically from a carers point of view there is nothing to beat high quality bed based respite care for complete peace of mind and a proper break to what can feel like a ceaseless task. The service is much oversubscribed and more beds of the same standard are desperately needed. After all, this saves money in the long term. A huge thank you to [name removed] & her first rate team.
We are so pleased you were able to have a much needed break. Thank you for your continued support to us as a team and service. Your improvement suggestions will be raised with senior management within the Learning Disabilities services.
We feel well rested after a much needed break and our daughter came home happy and relaxed, it has to be said, in better shape than when she went to respite.
As we get older the service is paramount to our ability to keep our loved ones in their own home. Without doubt we could not manage without 1 Willow Close and all the highly trained, caring staff working within the unit.
More of these facilities are desperately needed to enable people to keep on caring for their family at home. The money this saves in the long term is incalculable.
As always our grateful thanks.
We couldn’t ask for more from Willow Close. We are confident our daughter receives the best care and has a lovely time when she’s there, this allows us to get the break we need from carer for her
Thank you for your kind review. Please talk to the team at the Willows if you have concerns about the impact of transport. Best wishes, Hugh Jones, Patient experience manager
A very good stay, staff know our daughter well and have all the training to meet her needs. She came home happy and well and we very much appreciated the break.
The service is a lifeline for those caring full time at home. It enables us to keep our loved ones in their own homes. Without the help of 1 Willow Close I doubt that would be viable for most families.
Manager is fantastic and goes to great lengths to make sure our son is very well looked after, also supported us in a lot of other ways, listening to our worries for the future, advising on employing carers.
