Zetland medical practice clearly train the reception staff to give out 20 plus reasons why it is not possible to make an appointment.
The first response is "you must call on a week day between 8am -8.30 am , thus opening a lottery when every patient seeking an appointment attempts to have their call answered before the 8.30am cut off.
Then there is the offer of on line media calls, given the aged demographic of the patient population that is an inspired solution, but hey it ticks the appointment accessibility box.
Then of course it is possible to send a digital image of your ailment, another insult to the aged demographic, even if the patient is able to send a media image, who exactly views it? & how do they diagnose from a digital image, could be the junior receptionist using google images for all we know.
The fact is Zetland Surgery is oversubscribed with patients & the 5 partners are failing to use resources effectively to meet the demands of the patient population, A great gig for the profit share element of being a partner.
