On the whole yardley green medical centre is a good practise with good doctors and nurses. However the toilets can be unclean and the waiting area can look scruffy. Getting an appointment by phone is pretty much impossible regardless of the changes made, once i was on the phone for over an hour trying to book an appointment However the on line booking system is the best the idea practise has had in a long time and makes booking an appointment in advance possible. Also some members of staff (a nurse) can be ignorant to the side effects of drugs she prescribes leading to negative outcomes for the patient when she made assumptions that the side effects being displayed must have been down to the patients lifestyle choice, however when over viewed by a doctor found that the drugs prescribed were completely unsuitable for the patient. The reception staff are genuinely nice even though they have a hard job to do ...the desk can sometimes get filled up but you can check in using the check in screen point which would save a lot of time as usually the people waiting in the que and at the desk are people trying to sign up to the surgery without the right documentation. Positive there are lots of chemists in close proximity.
