I am incredibly lucky to have access to this health centre. However, I'm not sure what's happening with diabetic health care. I am aware that the established diabetic nurse has now retired. I am fully aware of the need for me to be monitored regularly. I have been diabetic for 13 years. I have been discharged by the hospital consultant for a year now and therefore my diabetic nurse is my crucial link. Fortunately I am well controlled and if not can get to see a Dr (although it is getting harder and harder to make appointments as the surgery is regularly very full).
I'd like an update on this - and feel I should be informed rather than having to make enquiries myself. Pharmacy is brilliant - very efficient. Thanks
