Not patient centred at all. Poor record keeping / lack of in-house communication. Quite cynical attitude towards patients. Complete absence of holistic care. Very unhelpful in almost all matters (very much a "can't do" attitude).

When I attended for a bit of stress I didn't mean 'for' in the literal sense. They've just made things worse. Much, much worse. Some of the clinicians could listen and show a bit more trust in patients and learn to disengage when they fail to respect boundaries. Some of them could be more communicative. It depends who one sees though. One of the GP's I've seen I had no problems with * no excessive logging of personal and social data; * detached, respects boundaries * prompt diagnostician, * Pt is left with some control; * concise notes, no vexatious notes; * communicative (eg Dr will state the name of pathogen). It's X, nothing to worry about rather than it's nothing to worry about One leaves the appointment wiser for it. The last Dr I saw was very rude to me and outright accused me of lying or worse. I was livid, a Gp consultation is not he time or place for that behaviour. I challenged his prejudices but that made him worse. When they make mistakes they should apologise, make matters right and correct the record instead of making arrogant vexatious remarks on patient permanent health records and calling in colleagues on the QT to validate their confirmation bias . They've left quite a trail of destruction. There was a nurse there who made an odious accusation against me during a smoking cessation appointment. One of the doctors failed to offer my late father a referral for an endoscopy when he presented with upper GI symptoms. I'm not sure whether he was offered a C13Urea breath test of HP serology as I don't have the funds to get a lawyer to get his health records. Over two years later and a few days after he died of stomach cancer a letter finally arrived offering an endoscopy. Lower GI. Wrong end. The Dr left, bought into a different surgery. A previous GP ordered unnecessary and inappropriate, stating tests I had received "weren't reliable" tests causing me anxiety. I followed the complaints procedure recommended by Which, NHS Complaints Advocacy, various PALS sites and the flowchart in the Community Health Partnership's own bulletin which the CHP distributes to all staff . The practice manager refused to even log a complaint. The reception is open plan and I had to discuss my business in front of other waiting patients, quite an obvious architectural flaw overlooked on such a new build. The PM was very brusque on the telephone claiming the NHS.net e-mail I was given by the surgery's telephone call handler to send additional evidence which disproved a doctor's notion was her own personal address. Why do I even have to present documents to a GP surgery to vindicate myself from haughty and spurious allegations made by a GP during a consultation? Who is supposed to be there for whom? If they'd remember 1 Patients' privacy, dignity, autonomy and respect> CYA 2 Primum non nocere (first do no net harm) 3 The age of medical paternalism is gone or should be we'd all get on a lot better.
