For the third time I have tried to make an appointment to see my doctor. After getting my repeat prescription I was told by the receptionist that I needed a meds review and needed the appointment so I asked to make one and was asked what it was for! I told her it was for the medal review and was asked if I really wanted my meds again! I said yes and asked if I could make an appointment and again was asked what it was for. If a doctor asked to see a patient and the message was passed on by the receptionist then why does the receptionist feel the need to ask what it's for when she has just told me. Took about 15 mins of backwards and forwards like this to get her to understand. Finally got a begrudged telephone appointment and a bad attitude from the staff as she realised that I was actually going to talk to a doctor and she couldn't put any more barriers to the in my way. Doctors might be good but this will be my first interaction with one so we will see won't we. Reseptionists/ telephonist terrible and should be handed p45's before the do some real damage to their patients.

For the second time I have tried to make an appointment with my doctor and not been allowed. This time I was told by the receptionist that I was having a heart attack and need to go to hospital, I knew it wasn't, told them and was put through to someone else who also told me to go to hospital then hung up. After 7 hours in North Tees I was told I should have a gone to the doctors and not hospital. Poor service by untrained self important jobsworth staff. If I could I would not have put any stars in this review at all but I have to select them or I can't leave a review.

After joining the surgery I was phoned by the doctor who was very pleasant and asked me to make an appointment in 2 weeks. I immediately rang reception to make the appointment and was told I had to make it on the day in two weeks time as they don't make appointments. I pointed out that my conditions would not allow me to make a short notice appointment and that I would need time to plan things and was told by the receptionist that she had a similar condition and it didn't affect the her in that way and I was lying. I went in to make a complaint about the receptionist/typist and was treated like an uneducated fool by someone in a dark blue nurses outfit and my complaint fell on deaf and ignorant ears. This happened within 24 hours of joining the surgery and has left me feeling abandoned and uncared for. The reception staff don't need retraining but replacing.

Doctors do not seem to care your in and out. Will not do children’s holiday vaccinations whilst almost every other surgery does resulting in you having to go private and paying. Receptionist was not friendly either.

It usually takes weeks for an appointment to see a particular GP, the waiting area is a bad environment for anyone who suffers from anxiety or panic-attacks and you may be waiting for anything up to 30 minutes after the appointment time before being called. Ths happened at my last appointment and perhaps due to running so late my GP dismissed me without asking anything about the problem i had and told me i must seek help from a service that is unable to provide any kind of medical treatment at all for me. I have thus lost faith in my GP, the only way to treat the condition i sought help for is to self-medicate and i would much rather not have to do that but if your GP literally will not help there may be no alternative. Woodlands do have a web-based system which makes it possible to make appointments & request repeat prescriptions online & that is welcome but there is no way to contact or give feedback to a particular doctor, or to contact anyone about any problems with the service provided.
