I really just would like to thank everyone at Wimpole Road Surgery for their excellent care and attention given to both myself and my 94 year old mother Sylvia. My mother is now somewhat frail and suffers with a recurring ulcer on one of her legs. An appointment for a follow up appointment the following week is always readily available at a time that is convenient for both her and myself. Staff are always helpful and cheerful whenever we arrive. Last week however,I had not checked the appointment card very thoroughly and we arrived for an appointment made for the FOLLOWING Friday!! Not to worry !- with the help of the wonderful receptionist Linda and Nurse Suzanne, they still managed to squeeze her in after a short wait. Now that is what I call Service with a capital S !!!! (I must just say though, that I am no fan at all of this repeat on-line prescribing where you are tied to getting your tablets from SAME PHARMACY every 28 days- As when I retire my partner and I intend to go extended cruising by narrow boat across the whole of Britain for 6 months of the year! It would be MUCH better to have 6 monthly prescriptions in my possession to be filled wherever we may be at the time) This is no reflection on this excellent surgery may I say, as it is probably government inspired!

After intially seeing Dr Claridge almost 2 years ago moving into the area, I tried to talk to her about my ongoing medical problems and mental health problems 7 years well documented from an industrial accident, after seeing her for less than 5mins the diagnosis from her was "get a job" and come back in 3 months obviously hadnt been listening at all. I dont need a job thanks I have a house and income, what I was there for was help with crippling depression/p.t.s.d NOT a sick note, I dont claim benefits and wouldnt be entitled. Very strange
