This place merged with aslake close surgery some time ago.Since that time, the east Norwich medical practice, as the surgery is now called, has declined somewhat. Many patients have left due to malpractice.I am very dissatisfied with ALL aspects of this place, as too are my friends, work colleagues and neighbours.Firstly, the receptionists are very unprofessional.Whilst in the waiting room, myself and others have witnessed the receptionists laughing, making jokes, and making inappropriate, demeaning comments about patients they'd just spoken to via the telephone! Surely, discretion, confidentiality, concern and empathy should be what receptionists show toward patients. But, no, that is not what happens here. Here, the receptionists and all other administration staff display totally inappropriate working practices!I am disgusted at this. These receptionists and administrators make many administration errors too.I ordered and had to pay for, a copy of my medical records.I requested specifically certain dates, which I listed methodically in a clear, concise, detailed letter from myself to them. They could not even follow my clear detailed request, as when I received their reply, some of the records I'd requested, were missing, yet some were duplicated!I went for a repeat prescription, which they could not find. Then they found they had misplaced it, which meant they'd not done it in the said two days gap I'd left since handing it in to them! Then, they even twisted things to inadvertently make out it to be my mistake, when it was theirs!Once, I had a prebooked appointment, which they had confirmed to me in writing by post. When I went, they'd booked another patient in for my appointment with the person I was meant to be seeing.I had my letter from them as proof of my appointment, but they had not made a calender note for themselves about my appointment - even though they'd sent me written notification about the appointment. But, they did nothing to rectify this, and they made me have to reschedule, even though I'd taken time off work. They cared nothing about the inconvenience their errors had caused to myself! If they spent less time eating biscuits at the front desk during working hours, and less time gossiping, and being wholly abusively rude about patients, perhaps they'd make less mistakes. There should be no room anyway, for errors if you work as doctors' receptionists and medical administrators.Errors have NO place in a workplace concerned with patients' lives and health!!!!Secondly, and even moe importantly, doctors here make many errors too. They are prone to negligence.Errors, misdiagnosis, then such flippant attitudes by these doctors, are plentiful. They misdiagnose many times. They contradict themselves many times. For example, one gp here told me, regarding fatty liver, that fatty liver will go if one loses weight.I am naturally thin! However, when I was diagnosed with fatty liver, I'd been feeling quite unwell that I'd not been well enough to eat much, and hence, I became very thin! So, the gp proved that he showed inconsistency and he, obviously, does not know what he is talking about!Another gp here said that tinnitus is always caused as a result of hearing loss.I have been diagnosed by a specialist audiologist at Boots as having perfect hearing, and told by this audiologist that stress can definitely cause tinnitus, and as I have great hearing, my tinnitus must therefore be caused by stress. It was actually the stress of a prior misdiagnosis by this gp at aslake close that caused me to have tinnitus anyway. But, when I tried to later confront this gp re his gross misdiagnosis, he claimed, as mentioned, that stress never ever causes tinnitus, but that, in his words, tinnitus is always connected to hearing loss! So, yet again, here is another gp at this surgery, who has proven, on more than one occasion, that he is another gp here, who does not know what he is doing!!!!My elderly neighbour, who is very active, takes good care of herself, and is a healthy eating vegetarian, was told insultingly by this same gp, that she was ill due to the fact that, when people get old, they don't look after themselves well, don't eat well, and they forget to wash!My neighbour subsequently left this useless surgery. She has now been diagnosed correctly at a different surgery, and is being treated with respect! - unlike the disgusting way she was treated at aslake close! There are many serious errors this surgery makes.I could list out many true examples regarding many patients, who have now so wisely left this appalling, shockingly disgusting surgery.I have been terribly misdiagnosed by this place, to the detriment of my health, and daily life.I know how wrong this is, and how much I am now physically suffering daily, due to this surgery's malpractice! This surgery should be reported, for its many errors toward many patients. This surgery's gps should be named, shamed, and stripped of their status, as they clearly do not know what they're doing, and are clearly playing at being doctors, and cleary seriously misdiagnosing on many occasions, and with many patients.
