I visited the Whickham Practice on Monday 05th July 21 and I was given a prescription for two items. One of the items required me having to be measured and the Chemist informed me they did not offer this service and should return to the Whickham Practice. On return I spoke to someone named Debra who I believe is the Reception Manager and she could not of been more helpful. Even though there was no chance of me seeing a nurse that day due to events out of her control she arranged for me an appointment the next day and even contacted the GP who had issued the prescription for further advice. Later that afternoon whilst at home Debra called me and informed me that there were other alternatives as other Chemists offer the service I required so I didn’t have to wait until the next day. Debra explained how the other Chemists could arrange for the prescription to be transferred to them if they could provide the service but would also leave my appointment at Whickham just in case I could not get sorted. I would just like to say a big thank you to Debra as she went that extra mile in an awful time for everyone due to this pandemic and she gave a brilliant service to a very grateful customer. All the team at this practice are amazing and you all deserve a gold medal.
