West End Medical Practice

This is one of the best Medical surgeries i have attended, the care from all the doctors, nursing staff, and receptionists is wonderful. My husband and myself count ourselves so lucky to be cared for by these professional and amazing people. Thank you Carole and George Wilson.

Good service from Lisa who was covering reception. The Doctor very promptly rang me back and helped me with my problem. Thank you.

One of the receptionists is incredibly unhelpful and rude. I dread her picking up the phone. The GPS are great, the nurses are brilliant, and all the other reception staff are excellent.

I have been with this Practice since 2000, it's to me is a first class medical practice, Although it's difficult to get appointment at times 3-4 weeks, it does offer the open surgery at 8-10am which with a serious medical concerns is very helpful. I have found that GPs are interested in you as a person and not just what's wrong with. Getting appointment with my own Doctor can be hard but he is popular so don't mind even if he running late. Nursing team found in general they're warm and friendly especially Iona last year. Reception staff do their best to help under extremely challenging times over the years within NHS. One think I would suggest is to have a suggestion box in the practice, this would enable the medical team get some constructive ideas feedback.

I cannot understand any bad reviews about this practice. I have found the doctors nurses and administrators excellent. Of course you can’t always get an appointment but they are not to blame. I feel so lucky that my whole family are registered here so thanks to all. Hellen Sfeir

I went to collect a repeat prescription today for a 88year old lady I care for the first receptionist told me it was not there as it was not a repeat it was I put it in 3days before she then changed her tune and said it was because it was to get reveiwed nonsense so I can't get it till the end of the week,then I asked for a appointment on a Monday or a Wednesday morning told no without even looking at a computer did not know Doris stokes worked there then asked about flu jag no appointment , this is the worst surgery I have come across in my line of care work, I hate going in to this surgery the receptionist s are the most rudest abrupt unhelpful unprofessional people I have come across to busy talking to each other, absolutely disgraceful to treat a elderly person or anybody this way

Receptionists totally unhelpful. All I needed was to pick up my prescription but I was made to wait 13 minutes outside with back spasms as the two receptionists chatted away inside. It took 10 seconds to hand over my prescription and when I complained about this treatment they more or less just shrugged my discomfort off. Normally such a good practice but let down badly on this occasion. No information given either, that they close the doors between 1pm and 2pm. Either way to deliberately make someone in pain wait when it was unnecessary was poor to say the least.

I cannot understand why this surgery has bad reviews. I am delighted with everything about this clinic. The receptionists are great and extremely helpful as are the doctors and nurses I wish I had come to this clinic years ago . Doctors make an effort to phone you to see if they can help and prescription can be faxed to the pharmacy if necessary. What more can you expect !! Ok you have a long wait if you go to the open access clinic but you do get seen on the same day

I have been a patient at this practice for many years and am very satisfied with the treatment I have always received - including the receptionists, GPs and nurses.
