I've been with the surgery over 20 years now and it's brilliant !!! OK, sometimes there is a wait to see the Doctor if they are running late, but I'd personally rather have a wait than be "herded" quickly in and out. I like the fact that the Doctor or Nurse takes the time to put you at ease before finding out the problem; I also like the fact that I'm not rushed. This practise is far better than one my Mother uses where you can't get an appointment for 2 months !! Ayton Surgery is an excellent practise where you get personal service; nothing is too much trouble and they care about their patients from the moment you make the call to the Surgery to speak to the receptionist, to seeing either the Doctor or the Nurse. 5-star all the way for me !!

This is just from my experience. I have used the surgery for around 17 years and I have found if anything it has got worse rather than better. When I make an appointment to see the doctor at a certain time, I get there at that time but I am kept waiting up to half an hour before being seen even though there are a few people in the waiting room. When I order my tablets and the phone eventually gets answered it used to be the next day then it was 2 says and now its 3 days so I have to keep check that I dont run out over a weekend or bank holiday and calculate if I have enough. To top it all, when I went to collect my medication in the freezing pouring rain, I was confronted with the surgery being shut, without any warning that it was being closed for so called training, (what the whole surgery and dispensary ?) so I ended up without my medication for the next day. I registered online so I could order my repeat prescriptions without the hassle of wondering if the phone would be answered just to find that the website wouldn't accept my password even though it was the correct one, twice that happened, no I am sorry but its not the best.

We feel extremely fortunate to be with this practice It is a welcoming place , literally all staff seem to work together to provide a caring , courteous , informed and sensitive environment. Appointments are readily available and although you sometimes have to wait to see the doctor of your choice The on site pharmacy is a huge bonus Patients are kept updated of various changes and the online systems work well I would recommend our practice without any reservations

This GP practice ticks all the boxes. Dr John Reay my GP is always courteous, attentive and caring. I have been with this practice for 18 years and have no complaints about the care from all the GPs
