I am a 73 year old type 2 diabetic patient, last week I in France I suffered a painful injury to my right eye, although it was a Sunday I was seen immediately at Chateaubriand hospital who in turn referred me to the eye specialist in Nantes.I was extensively examined by a specialist who came out at 7 pm on the Sunday night, who in turn gave me a prescription and advised me to contact my doctor on my return to England .
I have tried in vain to arrange an appointment ,being told that there are no doctors available, I have even contacted Shrewsbury eye hospital but was refused an appointment until I have been seen by my doctor. ???
Do I seek an alternatives practice, as I have other complaints, every time I see a doctor it is a different person who has to read up on my patient history on each visit.
