I am absolutely appalled by the treatment or rather lack of, for my mother in law. 82 years of age and presents to an empty surgery with difficulty breathing and the medically (NOT) trained receptionist told her she could not be seen or have an appointment, till Wednesday, and tgatcwuth a nurse,. Absolutely shameful.

Worst doctors surgery ever. I have tried for 5 days to get an appointment, excuse after excuse as to why I am unable to get one. I understand surgery’s are busy, but it should not be this difficult. The recieptionist have the worst customer service I have come across, A piece of wood could do a better job. They do not make you feel welcome at all and aren’t helpful. I called 164 times last week in one morning and didn’t even get to speak to a receptionist. The surgery phone line is supposed to open at 8am, 8:10 and the line is telling me the surgery isn’t open. Seriously not worth the hassle, especially as I was told by my doctor I didn’t have an urine infection, ending up going to A&E and turns out I did. Will be moving surgery’s ASAP

I am trying to talk to a GP for over 4 days. When I go they say they don't have appointments and to call to the surgery to schedule, I've been trying to call but the line is always busy and by the time they answer they said I missed the slot to get the gp to contact me. When I was asked the reason I said the amount of pain on my neck and shoulder that I have for days and I know is something that I don't need to go to A&E or call 999 (they have enough in their hands). Today I went back to beg for an appointment and of course not a single appointment available, they receptionist said I can schedule to talk to the gp, so I asked to chedule whilst I'm in the surgery because the line is busy, her response was that I can call from that moment onwards, I am standing right in front of the reception calling and the lines are busy but non of the receptionists were on rhe phone, when I asked they said the lines stay on hold until they talk to inclinic patients but it was only me and one more person in the waiting area. They saw that I can't move much for the pain and how frustrated I was and not on a single second they show empathy or the will to help solve the issue. They just waited for me to leave. Now my pain got worst and couldn't go to work and now it is also my spine and left leg., tried again to get someone and once again the lines are busy and they wouldnt help at the surgery reception.

I have agraphobia, social phobia and anger issues. They continually expect me to attend at the surgery despite difficulties getting out. They try phoning me and even send referrals that depend on phone assessments despite telling them I cant cope with using the phone. The receptionist moans at me like a child when I dont access my emails despite telling them I dont read emails. I cant seem to get co ordination for my meds between Boots and the surgery. They both blame each other and I have to track between the two because the surgery says the prescription has been faxed. Boots say they havent got it. In the past three renewals I have yet to just go to Boots and collect my meds - Extemely stressful given that the high street and shopping is a real crisis for someone with agraphobia. I have had to go to collect my prescription at least twice each time. I cant cope with a waiting room so I sit outside. As my condition has deteriorated it has taken months before they would let me use the back door to access the consultation rooms rather than sit, then walk past a room full of people to reach the doctor's room. At one point I couldnt even make appointments because if u didnt ring before 8.00 am they had no appointments.I cant ring. I could walk to surgery but Im much worse in the mornings. Im worse near people. Im best when its quiet. I couldnt leave the house at 8.00 am when all the kids are on their way to school and I was drugged up with the meds. All they need to do is 1. Not keep phoning me knowing I cant use a phone - Send letters 2. Book referrals and state I have agrophobia and will not answer a phone 3. Train their receptionists 4. Talk to me like I have a brain my difficulties do not affect my cognition and intelligence 5. Treat me with respect and when they see me struggling to reach the reception they should be coming to me to get away from other patients rather than letting everyone barge in front of me because I physically cannot cope with them in proximity to me and have to keep running away. 6. They should be organising support so I can attend my hospital appointments.
