Today I called at the surgery to collect my repeat prescription the receptionist said the doctor had signed it but couldn’t find it after informing her I was at work for today all all day the next day with no tablets left she did nothing at all except shrugged complete disinterest I now have to try and return to get this prescription it would appear the only way is to have it done with a pharmacist so 3 days without blood pressure tablets if I pass out or throw a wobbly perhaps someone will listen

I'm very sorry to hear this, and I apologise that your prescription was not dealt with in a faster, more efficient way. I will of course talk to the team about this, as I don't know who was involved I can only do this, as a general learning, if you ever need something please don't hesitate to speak to the Reception Manager or Deputy Practice Manager, who will be able to learn more about the situation, and resolve there and then for you if possible.

The best way to make an appointment is online via the Patient Access app.

Yes the easiest, and perhaps the quickest way to make an appointment these days, is via the patient access app, im glad you have found this useful, and we would highly recommend that everyone registers if they can.

Have only been with this surgery two years and now had two appointments.Find lack of empathy and just told nhs is basically skint because not enough people pay their taxes ???never go to the doctor unless absolutely necessary but honestly feel if I was possibly close to death I really don’t think I would bother going to victoria road and incidentally worked all my life and paid my tax and national insurance contributions but was told I could always go private by the Gp.

Unfortunately the NHS is struggling and doctors do advise patients sometimes that they can go privately if they wish too, as some wait lists are very long and patients would prefer to do this, its not for everyone but it is just an option available to you. We do try to free up as many routine appointments as we possibly can ensuring that patient safety is maintained. We also have a duty doctor for anything more urgent, however anything more critical or life threatening would possibly be for A&E. I would be more than happy to discuss this in more detail if you would like too. I am sorry that you feel you have not been treated with empathy and hope that any further visits to the surgery will be more positive for you.

I have been a patient here for years and am undergoing treatment regarding my back and being recently diagnosed with Osteoporosis. Having had a bone scan done and a recent X-Ray, I wanted the results of my x-rays. I called in today 17/7/2018 on my way home from work. The receptionist wasn't very helpful with me and while her telling me my results finally over the counter in front of other people a delivery man rushed in and barged in front of me in the middle of my conversation with her. Totally unacceptable.I'm afraid. I'm very worried about my back problems and in constant pain which myself and my employers are concerned about and need urgent answers to find out what adjustments they may need to take for me as well as referring me to Occ.Health. Trying to get an appt is dreadful at this surgery nowadays. I've never had problems in the past like I'm having now. But something needs to change. I may be just a nobody in pain to you but to me its very upsetting and very worrying.

I am sorry you feel you have not had the care you would of hoped for, it is difficult to get an appointment sometimes and we feel frustrated too, and we are doing all we can to provide as many appointments as we possibly can, but unfortunately the demand is ever increasing. I would suggest coming in with some photo ID and we could set you up with online access, which would make it easier for you to get an appointment. Apologies that a delivery man barged in front of you, and I would hope that the receptionist would feel comfortable telling him to wait, but sometimes this can be quite daunting. If you would like to discuss your back problems I would ask that you contact the deputy manager at the surgery who will be only to happy to help, as we are un able to ring you, as this feedback is anonymous. Kind Regards
