Having changed over to an appointment system which requires the patient to phone early morning to be seen that day is very good for people who require treatment quickly. Unfortunately if you are in employment and don't require to be seen urgently it is very difficult to take time off work at short notice. There is no way to book in advance an appointment. To have a system that pleases everyone is understandably difficult but there must be a significant proportion of patients find difficulty with this. It would be wonderful if resources could stretch to a weekly evening surgery.
