Really impossible… Receptionist have become so rude. It’s impossible to get my inhaler which I’ve not had for 14 days. It’s 3am my breathing so bad my fair up with this cold weather and the reception speak so rudely which I’ve been going since the chemist has been opened don’t know why it’s changed, but they’re so rude win. The nurses told me I can have my inhaler, so I can’t help it if I need my inhalers after 14 days the gray one I’m so worried to call chemist as why become God about my health? No I get worried that they’re not going to be give me my other medication I need.

With my recent experience with the staff at UGRS via phone call and in person itself , I found the staff not rude but very unhelpful and unwilling to listen to us , Patients. Even without hearing the symptoms properly they were quick to refer us to online consultation and 111. The strange part is when those very two helplines directed us back to their service , they were still unwilling to help citing that the surgery is full with appointments. I only saw one lady sitting at their surgery and the waiting room pin drop silence that too on Monday. My queries is also similar to other patients who have complained here . With due respect to Receptionist, how can they decide on the phone without even listening properly which patient should see GP and which patient shouldn’t? Also don’t they realise that in case of urgency there is a facility to make phone call appointments ? How could they just rule out these facilities and like a parrot keep repeating 111 , 111 ….. utterly disappointed and frustrated with the service at UGRS.

Suggested improvements
Please manage your Reception staff and train them properly especially with empathy and a listening ear would help. Please don’t let them decide which patients should see GP and which shouldn’t. If they are to decide then give them enough training to recognise when urgency case comes by.

At these difficult times I would like to thank all the doctors, nurses, paramedics and reception staff who have been extremely helpful after my stay in hospital They have been responsive every time always call me back and try to reassure me. Talking to other people at other surgeries I think this is the best in the area.

Suggested improvements
The only problem is the time it takes to answer the phone

The receptionist i had the most recent incounter with was rude and completely un helpful. Im not sure what gives her the right to choose who feels they are in urgent medical need or not and how many appointments are needed.. Maybe this surgery should actually train their staff on showing some empathy and compassion to people instead of nursing their own ego in thinking they hold power over people's medical needs or if your just a miserable unhelpful person and dont like people then maybe you should be in another profession.

Suggested improvements
Get better reception staff and start seeing patients for more than ine bloody ailment at a time

I took my daughter for face-to-face consultation with DR Mamtora on 21st of January. I am writing to express my positive experience at the consultation. Both myself and my 11 years old daughter found Dr Mamtora extremely kind and caring. He listened to our concerns and explained to us the medical terms very well in a simple language for us to understand. He appeared highly knowledgeable, approachable, and compassionate. He is certainly an example of an excellent doctor, and we feel lucky to have such high standard care. We both left the consultation room feeling reassured and at ease. Thank you so much.
