I got an appointment straight away when I called. I had a fairly invasive procedure done and felt quite sick after it. Both the nurses were so lovely and helped me in every way. I’m very appreciative of them and their kindness so thank you so much!!

I have had the good fortune of being a registered patient of this surgery for almost 2 decades, remaining with the same doctor. Though much has changed for the worse in our NHS, the staff and quality of care I receive at the University Health Centre has remained unfalteringly excellent.

Suggested improvements
I really can’t think of anything that I would change about my health care at the surgery.

I’ve only had great experiences with the service and staff. It’s been so nice to have quick appointments and friendly, attentive staff. Shout out to Dr Jan Austera, Nurse Jo Fawcett, Dr Alice Boyd and Nurse Kate Barnham. It’s really helpful having texts with links to information prior to and after appointments. Also the reception staff are great too! Thanks everyone.

Suggested improvements
Better understanding of computer systems by new reception staff for more complex requests.

I really appreciate the help and timely response from the surgery staff and guidance on how to go about getting my appointment. Jo, my nurse, is the kindest and most sensitive professional who listened to my complain and helped me through and even set up a follow up, which makes me feel well looked after and safe.

Suggested improvements
I needed more clarity in identifying my condition, which was an emergency but I used the word 'urgent', which I believe is not considered as an emergency..because I had to wait one week with my problem till my appointment time, had I not reached out to my doctor back home. I guess, the reception could also guide international students about difference between urgent and emergency. That was confusing for me.
