I'm very disappointed with Ty Elli surgery. I've been phoning them over the last few days for a dr to visit my very poorly mum. First doctor wouldn't come out and made me take my poor mum to the hospital. Went there only to be told her doctor should prescribe her antibiotics as her leg is too swollen to scan. Phoned the surgery to tell them this and they sent a nurse practitioner out who gave antibiotics and water tablets which are not working. I asked if they'd send a nurse to take her clamps out of her leg ehich have been in for 21 days, they told me their nurses don't do this. So I phoned District Nurse hub who said her surgery needs to refer to them before they'll come out. I got it sorted, the nurse who came from the district nurse hub suggested my mum have another course of antibiotics as her leg is so sore with her. So I phoned them yesterday evening and the male practice nurse who was on duty yesterday was so rude, he was shouting at me down the phone and made me cry. I will be transferring the whole families care from this surgery now as a result and I will be putting a complaint in. Absolutely disgusting behaviour from a staff member who's meant yo care.

Staff are untrained in dealing with empathy towards patients. Qualified staff are untrained in compassion and empathy towards patients.

Absolutely disgusting treatment of my teenage son who has aspergers , severe anxiety and who had hit a very low point and was having suicidal thoughts , i was upset on the phone , and with no concern nor empathy was told phone back tomorrow we have no appointments left , mental health is supposed to be taken seriously but the receptionist today did not care one bit , so i went into the surgery upset with the state on my sons mental health , she was rude and i was told lies just to get rid of me , she said phoning 111 would put me in touch with someone who would give advice and be able to prescribe medication , pure lies , yes they can give advice but he told me that my son had to see a doctor , im now sitting with my son who is totally broken down waiting to phone yet again in the morning , disgraceful attitude by receptionist , she needs sacking , this was an emergency appointment , no emergency should be pushed to one side like she did to my son today , i hope she sleeps well at night treating mental health like she did , disgraceful

I have a long tears cronic medical condition and today tried again to get an appointment after being unsuccessful on Monday morning, after 20 min in the que I was answered understandably with the time restraints and how busy the service is Requested an appointment gave my health condition to be told I needed to give detail my illness is Cerys personal and I had given the condition I then got upset the call handler huffed and said I’m putting you on hold… 8 minutes later when she returned there was no-longer any appointments left and I was told there was nothing she could do to help me. I said this means I have no medication left for the weekend and my condition has not improved since my last telephone appointment where I had the last lot of interim prescription. I added for her name or the medical person who she spoke to who said I didn’t need an appointment where her reply was I don’t need to give any names. She would not provide me with any help or support and I now have to go and bee seen any the hospital where I could have had a prescription I’m left so sad dealing with my medical condition which the people who are paid to help and support clearly not providing either service. I have asked for the practice managers name where I was old I couldn’t have that either.

What can I say? I am new to the area and tried to register with this surgery on line. Unfortunately they don’t’ accept registrations in this way which meant that there was a delay in me being able to register and get my repeat prescription. From the time I was registered with the Practice they did everything they could to get the medication summary from my previous surgery. I have moved from England and we have electronic prescriptions there but not here in Wales and my old surgery, Sandhurst Group Practice, could not grasp that. After spending many hours on the phone I had to give up trying to get the information from my old practice. Eira was a lifesaver and arranged an appointment for me at the surgery with Alan who was so helpful and courteous so that I could take my medication in to show them what I needed and get a repeat prescription before I ran out. She and Alan were utterly brilliant and a real credit to the practice. Thank you so much to everyone for helping me resolve this ridiculous issue without any assistance whatsoever from my old practice.

To find out I was number 44 in the queue at 8.30 am was galling but thankfully that made no difference to my outcome.

9 th October 2022 4.20pm .I called Ty elli surgery I suffer from schizophrenia, and anxiety disorder etc .My aunt who is like my mum is at end of life in hospital .She has just had a heart attack and has covid sepsis etc I am her carer .I called for diazipam and I new I needed to speak with Dr as it a long time since I had any on request .Receptionist was so unhelpful she just said call at 8.30am in the morning .She could have asked Dr to call after surgery but no I have to wait til tommorow in distress .When I get distressed I self harm .Disgusting how I have been treated absolutely a disgrace.

Listened and got a Dr to call back I told her how distressed I was .Shame on this practice .
